With different variations on offer for this extremely popular excursion, you will visit a range of terrain, from the eastern rainforests, to the dry deciduous forests and the spiny desert of the semi arid south.

You can choose to visit the Berenty Reserve or the baobab forest of Kirindy, depending on your personal preference.

Whatever your itinerary, everyone will experience the fascinating and colourful culture of the different Madagascan people.

A particular highlight is the Kirindy Forest, an excellent example of a tropical deciduous dry forest. Dominated by thousands of baobabs, this is Madagascar’s most threatened habitat.

Kirindy Forest is home to the ‘dancing’ Verreaux’s sifaka and the red fronted brown lemur. There is a variety of nocturnal lemur species here, but the most special is the Madame Berthe’s mouse lemur, the world’s smallest primate. This lemur is so small it can fit into an egg cup.
