The Himalayan Foothills

The Himalayan Foothills tour over 13 days mixes a little sightseeing in the capital, New Delhi, along with seeing the Wagah border flag ceremony, visiting the home of the Dalai Lama and looking round the Shimla summer residence of the British Raj.

Throughout your journey, you can enjoy the breathtaking snow capped Himalyas, mixed with the lush cedar and pine forests and experience a major diversity of religious beliefs and cultural influences.

This region has such a rich heritage, with the Golden Temple at the seat of the Sikh religion and the legacy of the British Raj at Shimla.

For your enjoyment, you will also ride the narrow gauge steam engine toy train out of Shimla, crossing arched bridges and going past stunning views through the Himalyan Foothills.

A private driver, private guided sightseeing, meals and flights are all included.
