Originally
built as a private residence, then transformed into an exclusive club
by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe, the Marbella Club today is one
of 'The Leading Small Hotels of the World'. It was also recently
honored with the 5 Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of
Hospitality Science. The hotel offers extensive sub-tropical gardens
which adds enormously to the feeling of privacy, seclusion and
calmness that pervade the property. Sports opportunities, both gentle
and more strenuous are also available. There are two large outdoor
swimming pools and a seawater indoor "treatment" pool. Their
luxury Thalasso Spa offers Thalassotherapy and beauty treatments as
well as Rejuvenation, Slimming and Anti-Stress programmes.
Accommodation: The quite lovely guest rooms
are located in several low-level buildings throughout the delightful gardens.
With just 121 luxury bedrooms, 8 suites and 16villas, the hotel has an intimate
atmosphere. Each room provides individual air-conditioning,
satellite TV, safe, mini-bar, hairdryer and bathrobes. An umbrella is also in
each room, but with around 320 days of sunshine each tear it won't be needed!
Location: It is ideally located between central Marbella and famous Puerto Banus.Malaga is only a 40 minute drive and Gibraltar just over an hour.
