We cannot guarantee the weather of course, but Marbella boasts in excess of 300 days of sunshine each year. Points of interest in this area are many and varied. Old Marbella has very pretty side streets and squares, perhaps to sit and enjoy the scent of the "dama de noche". 

The very pretty white-washed villages of Mijas, Coin & Ojen are a real delight. Marbella itself is a wonderful shopping centre and also has an excellent choice of restaurants. A word of caution! The term Marbella is used to cover an area which extends some 20 kms, we of course supply a local guide book. Puerto Banus has a famous marina and an enormous range of restaurants and cafes - a superb spot for people watching too!

As you go south towards Gibraltar, the empty beaches & green countryside become more and more noticeable. A day in tiny Gibraltar, still fiercely British, is fun - perhaps take afternoon tea at the Rock Hotel after doing some duty free shopping. Further on, the Atlantic coast of Spain is unspoilt and leads to Cadiz or Jerez - home of sherry and the wonderful Royal School of Equestrian Art. The historic cities of Ronda, Granada, Seville and Cordoba have attracted visitors for centuries. You can enjoy a wide range of sporting activities -swimming, tennis, riding or hire a bicycle.  The most popular sport is probably Golf with excellent quality courses to choose from. There are almost 30! Your hotel will book tee off times and provide all the information you will need.
