Tobago has arrived in the mainstream of
Caribbean tourism with the new addition of the $35 million Hilton
Tobago. The 200-room property is part of the Tobago Plantations
Development and the island's newest hotel. This 750-acre project
includes a 90-acre natural lagoon, 60 acres of protected mangrove
forest, a beach that is nearly a mile long, and a PGA-designed 18-hole
golf course. Opened in November 2000, this new three-story plantation
style hotel has a full 20 acres all to itself. This elegant hotel is
built next to the rolling waves of the Atlantic Coast and is

Accommodation: 200 rooms on 3 floors in 1 building (north and south wings) with 2 lifts. All are spacious, oceanfront and neutrally decorated and have large balcony, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, mini-bar (local charge), coffee maker, safety deposit box and hairdryer, some rooms have a sea view. Non-smoking rooms available on request. Standard Rooms have either a garden or sea view depending on floor level, 1 king-size or 2 twin beds, sleeping max 3 adults - rollaway bed for third person, or 2 adults and 1 child. Features include two world class tennis courts, three outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre with sauna, a popularly priced restaurant, a fine dining room and three bar/lounges.
