Mountainous Grenada in the Windwards, is the Caribbean’s original ‘Spice Island’, its lush soaring scenery dense with banana, cocoa, nutmeg and cinnamon plantations, and in the south dropping down to exotic beaches edged by delightful little hotels. Still relatively quiet and undeveloped (you won’t find a lot of nightlife here!), Grenada is one of the Caribbean’s most inviting hideaways. It’s no more than 21 miles by 12 miles - but spans stunning scenic contrasts of towering rainforest-draped mountain ranges and pristine white-sand beaches like Grande Anse - one of the loveliest in the Caribbean.
